Kyla Newborn

Kyla made her appearance this recent fall! She’s such a bright, happy baby girl. The entire session, she just wanted to be snuggled up to her sweet mama and feel her warmth.

In home newborn sessions are some of my favorite sessions to capture. However, they can be tricky if you aren’t prepared for them. Here’s a few tips to ensure a fantastic session!

  1. It’s best to be in a very well lit room provided by a window. The more natural light the better.

  2. Plan on 1-2 extra outfits with any bows & hats that you’d like to use.

  3. Keep plenty of blankets & swaddles close by to keep the baby warm and comfortable. You could even consider having a small space heater to keep the room warm for your baby.

  4. Feeding your baby right before the session almost guarantees they sleep the entire session. But that’s not the case for everyone! Be prepared to feed the baby in the middle of the session. It helps keep them calm and comforted.
